CAMPAIGN EVENT IN CAMDEN TOWN

Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th March 2007

This event was organised by London IWA Chair Roger Squires with assistance from AWCC London Clubs St Pancras Cruising Club & West London Motor Cruising Club.

The protest took the form of a Friday evening petition signing event in Paddington Basin (see separate report here) with a formal blockade of Camden Locks throughout Saturday and Sunday.

SATURDAY

Over a dozen boats blocked one of the paired top locks. Supporters collected over 1500 petition signatures and messages of support.
